Salmon World Release Rainbow Trout into Tinwald Domain March 30, 2011
Posted by admin in : Salmon World News , trackbackA few months ago we released our rainbow trout into the Tinwald Domain in Ashburton. Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) will spawn for the first time when they are three or four years old, and after that they will spawn every year after that. They spawn in spring and take about four to seven weeks to hatch.
We released our rainbow trout as they became to big for our rock pools. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.
