Filming progresses on the Salmon World Rakaia New Zealand 3D movie. This shot was taken in the snow at Mount Hutt ski field, high above the Canterbury Plains. On a clear day like this you can even see out toward the Canterbury Coastline and the ocean in the distance.

All the fish for the Salmon World Aquarium, pools and fish ponds are caught locally from the Rakaia River and carefully transported to Salmon World. The caught fish range from small juveniles through to mature adults and will form the basis for the breeding and educational program. There will be a variety of local fish, from salmon to brown trout and new species will be introduced as appropriate.

Starting to film the Salmon World 4D Adventure Film at the side of the Rakaia River. With the construction of the movie room, the construction of the hydraulic grandstand and the actualy filming underway, the whole movie experience is on target to open in April 2010.
